Thanks for stopping by my new web design blog! I’m still trying to figure out exactly what direction I want to take it, so I’m more than open to hearing some feedback. For now these are the topics I plan on discussing:
- Front-End Development and Best Practices
- Code Tutorials using HTML5 and CSS3
- Improving Workflows
- Helpful Tools and Resources for Learning Web Design
- Studies and Observations of User Interface and User Experience Design
- Random Thoughts about the Web Industry
I want to create a community of collaboration. So for as much as I write on here, I want people to critique me, build upon examples, and help push the web community forward.
A little about me.
I was born and raised in sunny Tampa, Florida and attended private, Catholic school for
pretty much my entire childhood. I went to Jesuit High School, an all-male Catholic high school which on the outside seems like a terrible time, was actually a blast and I loved every minute of it. After high school, I attended the University of Central Florida (Go Knights!) and received my degree in Digital Media – Internet and Interactive Systems. I was also a Founding Father of the Iota Theta Chapter of Theta Chi Fraternity.
After graduating, I moved to Lakeland, FL with my girlfriend (now fiancé) I got a job working for Magnetic (now Bridgeline Digital) in New Tampa. Working in the agency environment was a great experience, but my career and personal goals changed and working there didn’t quite fit those anymore. I absolutely loved my coworkers there, and it was a very tough decision to leave. I’m now the UI/UX Designer for a small company in Lakeland called Qgiv and I couldn’t be happier. It’s allowing me to perfect my design skills, and it’s giving me extra time to work on some side projects, which I’ll be telling you guys more about in the future.
Now, I want to know more about you, my readers. Please feel free to follow me and tell me about yourselves!
Until next time.
